Ambassador “Speed Dating” in Canberra
A highlight of our CBT Fan Trip to Canberra? Exclusive access to rugby league legends.
As part of the trip, 35 travellers flew from Brisbane to Canberra for a weekend filled with sport, entertainment and exclusive experiences.
One of the standout moments took place at QT Canberra. Here, guests enjoyed a unique ambassador session featuring Petero Civoniceva, Sam Thaiday, Alfie Langer and Alex Glenn.
The format was simple but exciting. Eight small groups rotated between ambassadors, spending four minutes at each table. Participants had free reign on the questions, making every conversation different.
Unlike a traditional meet-and-greet, there was no stage and no formal presentation. Instead, guests sat face-to-face with four rugby league greats in a relaxed setting.
As a result, travellers gained personal insights into the game and the lives of the players. Conversations ranged from career highlights and memorable matches to funny stories from inside the dressing room.
Most importantly, the experience gave guests the opportunity to connect directly with some of rugby league’s most recognised personalities.
For one hour, our travellers weren’t watching legends from the stands. They were sitting across the table from them, ending with a singalong, with Alfie Langer leading the room through a few songs to finish the experience in true fan trip fashion.
