Qantas has introduced further flexibility on Australian domestic and trans-Tasman flights to help travellers book with confidence.
As part of the airline’s Fly Flexible conditions, if your travel plans have been impacted, eligible customers can change their travel date and Qantas will waive the change fee one time for bookings made before 30 April 2021 and for travel until 30 June 2021.*
Australian domestic and trans-Tasman flights
Qantas will waive the change fee one time on domestic Australian or trans-Tasman flights if passengers decide to change their date of travel.
This offer applies to all Qantas Australian domestic and trans-Tasman operated flights for the following dates:
Australian domestic flights booked between 21 May 2020 and 30 April 2021, for travel between 12 June 2020 and 30 June 2021.
Trans-Tasman flights booked between 15 October 2020 and 30 April 2021, for travel between 16 October 2020 and 30 June 2021.
If you want to change your travel dates, you will need to do so before the scheduled date of departure, and travel before 30 June 2021. Passengers also need to cover any applicable fare increase for their new flights.
For any subsequent changes, depending on the fare purchased, change fees will apply. The new booking will be subject to fare conditions and changes are not permitted on the scheduled day of departure.
Note: If Qantas cancels a flight, passengers will be rebooked on the next available flight to their booked destination (if possible), at no additional cost and will not be charged any change or cancellation fees. Alternatively, customers can choose a flight credit or a refund.
Classic Flight Reward Bookings
If you have used Qantas Points to book a Classic Flight Reward seat on any Qantas flight, passengers will be able to change their plans until 30 April 2021.^
If a passenger wishes to change their travel dates, Qantas will waive the change fee.
Should you wish to cancel, Qantas will also waive the cancellation fee. The total Qantas Points used, and any taxes, fees and carrier charges paid will be refunded.
This waiver applies to itineraries that consist only of Classic Flight Rewards. If your booking has combined a Classic Flight Reward with a non-Classic Flight Reward fare, this waiver won’t apply.
